![]() Also, the RAM patch is FoC ONLY - what is installed for EaW is an old XML patch to fix a lobby freeze problem that happened around the time they rolled out the patch. I am still baffled that it works in the method that I have devised (removing saves and applying the patch), as the root of the problem is deeper than just "steam has the patch, so if retail gets the patch it becomes compatible". The Ram Patch does not change the version number. On a side note, whenever I boot up Tunngle it says I have a router port problem that might block connections, yet its never stopped me yet =S This whole system is weird! A good indicator is when you join a Tunngle lobby, people should have a small grey box next to their name if its a big red cross, theres a problem. If this doesn't work, make sure your firewall is open to both versions of the game, and that you enable UPNP in the Tunngle options. Did you use the same disk on both computers If so, that could be your problem, because they both would have the same CD Key, the game wont let you play. You should then HOPEFULLY be able to see each other. You'll know if it works as at the bottom it will say "'X' logged in". Once you're in the normal lobby, simply boot up FoC (Even though you're not technically in the right lobby) and click Lan. We found that joining the FoC lobby in Tunngle stopped us from seeing each other, but the normal EaW didn't for some reason. Then, download Tunngle (Personally I hate the thing, but if it works it works), go through all the account creating crap, blah blah blah, then look for the EaW lobby. we didn't, but it worked anyway, so I'm not sure. ![]() Apparantly, if it works you and your friend should now have the same number down there. In the bottom left it should show your version number. The person with the Steam version doesn't have too. For Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption on the PC, a GameFAQs message board topic titled 'Cant play over Lan'.
